Study Task 2, Design Principles: Final Modified font Times New Roman

This is my final font modification for Times New Roman. The serifs have been kept but have been smoothed out and rounded on the corners so that there are no sharp ends or thin ended serifs. where two lines meet the join has been smoothed so that it flows in a curve rather than a sharp angle. The line width on a whole, has been made equal so that the majority of the letter is the same width all the way around. This makes the bold a lot bolder and the the light a lot thinner because the thinnest and thickest parts of the letter have been used to balance the rest out. Overall the whole designing of the alphabet has gone well. I have really got to grips with illustrator and although this one isn't perfect I feel that now I could make it a lot better and the letters have improved as I have gone along. It is recognisable as a typeface and font family and the changes from Times New Roman are clear, even if it has taken an excessive amount of time.
