Brief 4 - Communicate: Colour Modifications

After the type had been adapted to make it more appropriate for the target audience the colour looked dull. I decided to do research into the colours that had been used on more recent card designs where effort had been put into the artwork.

I discovered that most cards began to use a wide range of colours and different designs. I didn't think every design was completely relevant to the idea of cards. Nevertheless it was useful to see what colours had been used.

This was the one design that stuck out to me for the use of colour. The off white background works well and keeps the attention on the vivid colour. I began to look at this idea further and kept the designs simple but changed the colours for the counters so that they would be brighter.

As you can see on the Cheat cards above the colour has been adjusted to fit with the card above. The blue has been made brighter and the text is now readable even though it is a few point sizes smaller.
