I have continued with the design of the website after showing it to Sam and discussing how it could work. He liked the simplicity of page layout and the colours used although we have decided to change the grey lines to black so that it has a stronger impact.
We decided that the home page should focus on current. With a live twitter feed so that people can see what they are up to, an embedded clip of their latest song and also a photo rotation including their latest album, pictures of them together and instagram. This front page will give the potential customer and quick overview of their business and what they are doing.
I have tried a few different methods of placing the 'who we are' text but it has been a challenge to fill the space effectively without use of an image. If we were to add another image it would be too image heavy and busy.
This is the final layout concept for the Home Page. I want to keep it as simple as possible with nice visual images taking up the most space but also provide something to listen too and tweets to read that would give an insight into their work.
The work page will have their album are and then a sound cloud link to the songs they have made. We decided that work they do for clients should go under clients as it might not be whole songs.
The who are we page now has the type in two columns which will lead on to the two images and separate bios. The who are we should include what sets them out from other competitors.
The contact page will provide phone numbers and an email as well as links to all the social media available.
