Magazine Workshop

Our Concept: To create a magazine based around design. Focusing more on showing the process that the designer takes to get to the final outcome rather than the final outcome itself.

Our magazine will humanise graphic design by taking away the scary pretentious face.

Audience: Our audience will be creative students who want to see more about the process behind the design. Understanding the artists thoughts and also being able to see the mistakes they have made.

What we would include:
• Photo of their work space
• Thumbnail sketches
• Mind maps
• Interview
• What is the biggest design mistake you have made?
• Tips for people getting into design
• What music doing listen to when you design?
• What scared you the most when you started out in design?

Money:
• Advertise local courses to learn new schools
• Companies could pay to have advertise a brief in the magazine and then students could enter for free
• Organise talks with artists that the readers could pay a few pounds to go to
• Discussion Events
• Workshop Events
• Advertising from companies that produce top end equipment

Aesthetic:
• Not sterile
• No pointless squiggles

Basis:
We will start our magazine in the UK focusing on design across Europe. We have the vision that as our magazine grows we can grow into Europe as well broadening our horizons.
