Design Principles: Type Journal 20 - Packaging



Whilst at a restaurant their logo really caught my eye. The kerning meant that the letters were a lot further apart but somehow it really worked. The ‘the’ was perfectly in line with the ‘O’ below this meant that it kept your eye focused in that one place. The fact that it was a san serif font worked better with the kerning; I feel that if it were a serif it would have looked out of place and not given off the minimalistic impression that this logo does.
