After working with the grid I mocked up a few pages. However I stepped back from them and realised how bland they were. As much as I love the title down the side it takes up a lot of space. This is really apparent on the point size page as there is no way of comfortably fitting in all the type.
This layout really does look too formal and school book-y its not making type anymore interesting to the reader especially those who have no interest in typography or are reading this to learn; if anything it would put them off!! I think I need to experiment more with grids and perhaps make a complex one which would allow for more flexibility.
