Design Principles: Type Journal 18 - Packaging

The use of a serifed black font with the gold shadowing reminded me of old fashioned hand painted shop signs. It is nostalgic and paired with the slab serif font above and the colours, it does feel like the packaging has come out of the 50’s.  On the inside of the packet the paper holding the mints used a modern san serif. It kept with the idea of outlining the edge but this time with a simple need line in the same colour. The two different fonts manage to work together and create a great mix of old and new.
