Responsive - Pocketbook: Logo Books

Since I am struggling with the logo design I thought it would be useful to get some library books out. I chose:

Logo savvy: top brand design firms share their naming and identity strategies

and

Really good logos, explained: top design professionals critique 500 logos and explain what makes them work

I chose these two books because they were a good combination of images and text. They explained why the logos were successful and gave some great examples. The books have really got me thinking and I want to go back to the drawing board. I have fallen into the trap of designing straight away on obvious knowledge rather than thinking a bit deeper.
