Design Principles: Type Journal 8 - Type on Awareness

Whilst on the London Underground I noticed this poster which stuck out to me and that is down to the typography used. The font is very similar to Brainflower but it seems to be slightly neater in the sense that you could draw a straight line at the top and the bottom of the type  where as with brain flower the font is very wavy at the top and on certain letters like the R the leg drops below the base line to give the idea of it being hand written. This font works very well for the style of advert because it is trying to raise awareness to leaving papers on the train it has been written in a little poem to which people would think positively from rather than interpreting it as being told what to do. It is a very polite way of asking people not to litter, this font fits in so well with this because it look hand rendered and friendly, which is surprising as it is written in capitals which would normally have a shouting or alarming affect. For the advert as a whole I think the font is bang on but the drawing and the colour brown are questionable, In my opinion the text is strong enough alone.
