Covered: Penguin Research

After the idea was drawn up it reminded me a lot of a Penguin book I saw whilst in Waterstones the other day. I wasn't able to get a picture of it, however I have found similar ones online.

The repeated pattern leaving a circle in the middle for information works really well by framing the title. This structure works across a range of books altering the pattern to suit and fit with a relevant aspect of the individual book.

Penguin books are a classic that everyone knows. Through out the decades their book covers have always been unique, recognisable and up to date. Each cover follows a set of design rules; keeping them as a collection.

The Frame and paper texture is really nice on this print above. The colours are complimentary but are well balanced with the use of white and black. The choice of fonts all work together to portray a high quality and valuable print.
