Brief 5 - Message and Delivery: Creating the Final 3 Outcomes

Creating the purely type poster wasn't too hard once i had the quote and changed the colour scheme to be more appropriate. The grey is less shocking than the black so it is less of an eye sore. The yellow works well with the nuclear power logo and also is an attention seeking colour so it catches your eye however there isn't too much yellow to shout out at you.
The soley image piece was equally not hard to make when the concept was there. The idea of having the uranium atom in the lightbulb works well because it shows what the story is and fits with the other posters.

However the poster I really struggled on creating was the final combination poster. It was hard to make the text fit and look ascetically pleasing whilst also reading in the correct order. At first it was hard to think of a concept that would work well but after speaking to people they said that they didn't understand nuclear power, what it was or how it affected the environment and compared to other energy. The idea came around of having a very simple cooling tower with the text filling it. Oringially I wanted the text to be in the steam but it would have looked very top heavy and the grey section of the tower would look unfinished and blank. I considered filling the whole piece with text but thought this would be very hard to take in as people don't read stuff if they are bombarded with text.

These were two progressions I made but it still didn't fit well so in the end the text was spread out more and a last 'wow' fact was placed at the end to top it off and end it on a statement.
